Ghostly Cove

This was actually taken on our honeymoon in 1989 at Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia. I converted it to high contrast black and white.
Posted for PhotoFriday's theme "Ghostly." I don't really have any ghostly pictures, though I have quite a lot of ghastly ones!

Winter Retreat

This one is for those of you, like Houser and Bob, who are tired of the snow and ready for some nice weather! Taken last February in Nassau, Bahamas.

Dawn in America

Taken many years ago between Lancaster and Paint Lick, Kentucky on my way to work. This remains one of the best photos I've ever taken, in my opinion. This was scanned from a print made from the slide, which has been misplaced.

Castle

During a recent visit to Charleston, I got to visit The Citadel, the military college of South Carolina. The architecture is pretty interesting, as well as all the uniformed cadets on campus. The shadow on this building is from the building next door, which has the same "castle" style walls and parapet.

Grid Iron

During a recent trip to Dallas, I stayed at the Wyndham Anatole. This was part of the atrium.

Beach Sunrise

With all the traveling I've been doing lately, I haven't had a chance to shoot much except cafeterias! I did have a chance to shoot sunrise at Virginia Beach, but it was very cloudy and foggy. This was as good as it got, unfortunately.

Distorted

Playing in a bubble at the playground.

Wee Ice Mon

Jonathan had a blast collecting icecicles. He filled his sand bucket and "saved" them in the refrigerator. He told me that next time he's going to put them in the freezer!

Needles

A pine branch during the ice storm last weekend. I'm going to post a few from then--I hope y'all don't mind!

These were shot on film and are the first negative scans I've tried. I enjoy using my SLR; until I can afford a digital one, I'll have to figure out how to do this. The lighting was pretty flat...overcast and rainy/icy. Sunshine would have made these pics a lot more fun!
