Duck!

Seen during a walk on my lunch break the other day. I never realized how ugly ducks were until I shot some close ups of this guy and some others.

The Straight and Narrow

Perhaps not my best effort, but I like something about this shot. Very 'country' looking, even though it was shot on a college campus in the Atlanta area.

Soccer Sunset

Just a sunset during soccer practice Tuesday night. I could hardly put my camera down; the sky was changing so fast and was so astounding. Unfortunately, I had to leave just as the red colors were coming out!

Tractor Beam #2

A similar shot to a few days ago, but this one shows that the beam is coming from the moon, not from the building.

Williams Printing

Yea, another night shot from midtown. (If you look closely, you can see the Williams Printing Company sign.) I haven't had a chance to shoot much this week, and I kind of like the light streaks in this one. Have a great weekend!

Big Apple

No, this isn't New York...just another shot of Atlanta, this time the Bank of America building.

Mountain Creek

A mountain creek on my way back from the North Carolina mountains recently. Fall was in the air, though the trees weren't changing much yet.

Town House View

More from Atlantic Station. These are the townhouses that are part of the mixed-use development, with a great view of the Atlanta skyline.

Tractor Beam

A moon beam reaches out to the (old) IBM tower in Midtown Atlanta. Taken from the 17th Street bridge near Atlantic Station.

Lichen the Green

I love the way the grass echoes the green lichen on the bark. Hope you like.

Red Head

One of the kids in Jonathan's soccer league. I love the expression on his face

Hit It Here!

In honor of the baseball playoffs beginning, here's a shot of my son and my dad at a recent Braves game. Too bad Jonathan didn't have his glove ready earlier as a foul ball bounced off Dad's hand, snagged by someone else.

Blind Man

Wooden blinds at Applebee's during sunset at dinner the other night. I thought it looked cool. My kids might disagree when I keep pulling out my camera whenever we're out for dinner. Oh well, that's what parents are for...embarassing their kids.

Threads Burned

I just posted the color version of this a couple of days ago, but I really like this burned version. The tint really highlights the baseballs while providing a cool background color. Let me know what you think.

Nectar Tasting

One decent shot out of about 20, but I'm learning how to use my telephoto lens. Shot at the church Fall Festival.

The Player

This guy came to play! We didn't stay long enough to see his game, but he struck me as a 'dirt ball' player--one who ends up looking like a dirt ball by the end of the game, probably a 3rd basemen or catcher.
