700 Fence Posts

One of my first shots using "RAW" setting. I didn't do a lot to the settings. I'm using Pixmantec RAW converter. Nikon Capture won't load on my new machine....
The title is from a country song..."700 Fence Posts from your place to mine...."

I like. It has a very rustic quality to it. And that amber grain behind the fence is "painterly".

I love the quality of light or something with this, not sure what it is exactly but I like it

I highly recommend the RAW converters in Photoshop Elements ($99) or Photoshop CS. They're definitely my favorite in terms of controls.

~I quickly learned that the Nikon software that came w/ my D70 was needing to be installed so I can work with RAW, and I HIGHLY recommend shooting in RAW...all the time. The quality of the conversion is the best you can get in Photoshop...with the upgrade to PShop CS2 next month I can work right from the toolbar with RAW images...~

That's a good song. I love this photo. Despite the fence there's a sense of freedom to it. Great shot!
