Horton Hears A.....






































This is called the Horton House, because Major Horton, aide to General Oglethorpe, founder of the state of Georgia, lived here, on Jekyll Island. Of course, we referred to it as "Horton Hears a Who" House, but that's just us.....

This is built out of "tabby", which is a mixture of oyster shells, lime, water, and sand. It was poured into forms and used to make walls. That process was used in south Georgia until the late 1800s.

I have another version of this using the "Regular Joe" effect, but I like the saturation and color in this one better. A little too subdued in the RJ effect. If you want to see that one, let me know.
