Ritz-y

The Ritz Theater in Thomaston, Georgia....okay, maybe I played with it a little bit ;) I did bump the contrast a bit, but that's about all. This theatre opened in 1927 and is still in operation. Small-town theaters are pretty rare these days, but this one was running first-run movies.

Atlantic Station Sun

Another shot from Atlantic Station. This is actually two shots merged together. One was exposed for the buildings, and one for the sky. Then the two halves were merged together. Thanks to my friend 'regularjoe' for doing the Photoshop work on it.

Red Kayak

During my long drive last week, I went through Nantahala Gorge and past the Nantahala River, in western North Carolina. It was still gorgeous spring green, so I had to stop. Folks were enjoying the water on rafts and kayaks. Looks like a good place for a vacation, and there was no cell phone coverage, an added bonus!

Moon Rise Revisited

As I was driving through midtown on my way home after about 1000 miles this week, this was the view greeting me. As much as I wanted to get to the house, I stopped at Atlantic Station and grabbed some frames. The sunset color was gorgeous, and the moon was a bonus.

This car was parked at the ballfield on Saturday. It's a 1955 Chevy Bel Air. The owner was very generous in letting me shoot his car. As he said, he's "happy to share." Thanks! I'll be posting a few more, too.
